A Mercedes sales office — chosen over a portacabin

Andrew Smith, who runs Ridgeway Cars in Portsmouth, needed an office space sited among the inventory at his car dealership. He found most of the alternatives unappealing, remarking that the available options “looked like portacabins or timber sheds” — not the impression he wanted to give customers buying premium vehicles.

When he discovered Booths Garden Studios, he was impressed by the QC6’s appearance and, crucially, its zero-maintenance exterior. With his team focused on selling cars rather than maintaining a building, a structure that needs no upkeep was a deciding factor.

The 18’ x 12’ QC6 was fitted with a small flyover roof and decking. The five-person sales team now works with integrated air conditioning, conducting high-value transactions in a professional environment that sets the dealership apart from typical portable office solutions.
