Jane's dog-grooming studio — paid back in two years

Jane left traditional employment to set up her own dog-grooming business, investing in professional qualifications before choosing a compact 20’ x 8’ QCB5 garden studio as her workspace.

“My QCB5 garden studio will be paid for in 2 years when compared to renting premises,” she says — and that economics was central to her decision.

The studio has water and drainage connected through to her home, and heating costs are kept low by only warming the space when she needs it, using a mix of gas and economical oil heating. The setup lets her groom both dogs and cats while running the business entirely on her own terms.

Jane praised the installation team’s efficiency and is delighted with the result, describing the venture as her “retirement job or chill out job.” She keeps an online presence through Facebook (mypawhouse) and a growing website with before-and-after grooming photos.
