12' x 9' QC6 Garden Studio Pod / Office

This customer very kindly emailed some photographs of their new garden pod / garden studio / garden office. It’s a 12′ x 9′ (3640mm x 2730mm) QC6 garden office with anthracite windows, black pillars and fascia.

The cost includes delivery, installation and VAT. The cost of a concrete foundation wasn’t required due to the QC6 garden office having adjustable concrete feet. (If you don’t have the budget for a QC6 then check out the QCB5 “Basic” garden office.) They had a few extras included in that price: 4 recessed blinds, 2 outside pillar lights, an outside power socket for an electric mower, French doors, a side fanlight window for extra light and ventilation, and a studio “skirt” at the bottom to fill in the gap below the studio.

Please note that all of our garden offices have a gap below them. If your site is very level then this gap will be about 100mm or 4 inches. If your site has a slope then this gap will get larger and you may want studio skirting. The gap allows airflow below your garden office and guarantees that rising damp is never an issue. The studio skirt only has a conventional 1 year guarantee as it is touching the ground, which exposes it to damp and moisture, and it can also be damaged by strimmers, especially if there is gravel which the strimmer can launch at the skirt. Many of our customers just put planters in front of the gap to hide it.

In the photograph above, you can just see on the right hand side the fanlight window at the rear, and the outside power socket on the front right hand side.

Foxes are a concern for some of our customers, but in all the years Booths have been going (since 2000!) I have only had one case of foxes being under a garden office, so the chances are extremely slim. If this is a concern for you then you’d need to cost in a wire barrier to go all the way around your garden office. The QC6 garden office design is truly zero maintenance for 25 years — no exterior painting or staining required.
