Air Conditioning Videos for Garden Office
A guide to air conditioning for garden studios — two A-rated unit sizes, how to judge if a north-facing studio needs cooling, and why heat pumps outperform electric heating.
Iain explains the air conditioning specification for garden studios, including how to determine if your windows face north — north-facing studios may not require cooling.
Two AC units are detailed. The standard model is suitable for rooms up to 30 sqm (or 15 sqm conservatories) and is installed in 95% of cases, with an “A” energy rating. A larger unit is available for 25–45 sqm spaces.
These units produce roughly 4kW of power for every 1kW of energy used, outperforming traditional electric heating. The smaller unit delivers 3.5kW heat output, while the larger provides 5.8kW.
